Refund policy
Version 1.0.1 • Effective 20 August 2026 • Last updated 20 August 2026
When and how refunds are issued for digital purchases, print orders and technical problems on SayeBook.
How refunds work
Refund requests are reviewed and issued by our staff using internal tools. Nothing is refunded automatically — every request is checked against the situations below before a refund is processed.
Digital purchases
Ebooks and audiobooks are digital content delivered instantly (audiobooks can be downloaded or listened to online). Because of this, refund requests are assessed case by case rather than guaranteed within a fixed window.
Duplicate or accidental purchases
If you were charged twice for the same title, or purchased a title you already own, contact us with the order references. Once verified, the duplicate charge is refunded.
Inaccessible or corrupt files
If a file fails to open, is missing pages or audio, or does not match its listing, we will first try to re-deliver a working copy. If that is not possible, the purchase is refunded.
Print orders — before shipment
Print orders can be cancelled and refunded in full any time before they are marked as shipped.
Print orders — after shipment
Once a print order has shipped, refunds are limited to items that arrive damaged, misprinted, or significantly different from the listing, and are assessed on the evidence provided (for example photos of the damage).
Refunds after download or access
A digital purchase that has been fully downloaded or streamed without any reported defect is not automatically eligible for a refund, but requests are still reviewed individually and can be granted at our discretion.
Platform discretion
Outside the situations above, our support team may still approve a refund where that is clearly the fair outcome, and may decline a request that appears abusive (for example, repeated download-then-refund behaviour).
