SAYEBOOK CONTENT GUIDELINES

1. What SayeBook Publishes

SayeBook welcomes original or properly licensed works across a broad range of genres, subjects, cultures, languages, viewpoints, and audiences.

Authors and other submitters must possess the rights necessary to distribute the materials they submit.

A work does not violate these guidelines merely because it discusses a difficult, controversial, political, religious, historical, or socially sensitive subject.

Context and purpose matter.

2. Intellectual-Property Rights

Do not submit material that you do not own or have sufficient permission to distribute.

This applies not only to manuscript text but also, where applicable, to covers, illustrations, photographs, translations, audiobook recordings, narration, performances, music, and other incorporated materials.

Copyright complaints are handled separately under SayeBook's Copyright Policy.

3. Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

SayeBook does not permit material that sexually exploits minors or promotes or facilitates sexual abuse or non-consensual sexual conduct.

Legitimate educational, medical, historical, journalistic, literary, or other contextual discussion of sensitive subjects is not automatically prohibited merely because the subject is discussed.

4. Violence and Dangerous Conduct

Books may depict or discuss violence, crime, war, terrorism, abuse, or other disturbing subjects when presented in legitimate literary, historical, educational, journalistic, analytical, religious, or similar contexts.

SayeBook may reject material whose primary purpose is to encourage, celebrate, facilitate, or provide actionable assistance for serious unlawful violence against real people or groups.

5. Harassment, Privacy, and Exploitation

Content must not be primarily intended to threaten, harass, exploit, or unlawfully expose private information about another person.

SayeBook may restrict content that unlawfully invades privacy, impersonates another person, or presents private information in a manner that creates a serious risk of harm.

6. Plagiarism and Deceptive Content

SayeBook does not permit plagiarism or works intentionally presented as someone else's original work.

Authors must not falsely represent authorship, credentials, ownership, endorsements, publication history, or other material facts concerning a work.

7. AI, Automation, and Low-Value Mass Production

Responsible AI assistance is not automatically prohibited.

However, AI or automated tools must not be used to flood SayeBook with substantially repetitive, deceptive, infringing, misleading, or mass-produced content lacking meaningful editorial value.

Authors remain responsible for reviewing and taking responsibility for material submitted under their accounts.

Where required during submission, substantially AI-generated material must be disclosed accurately to SayeBook.

8. Malicious or Unsafe Files

Submitted files must not contain malware, malicious code, hidden mechanisms intended to compromise users or SayeBook systems, or other intentionally harmful technical material.

9. Metadata and Cover Quality

Titles, author names, descriptions, languages, categories, formats, pricing information, and cover artwork must reasonably represent the work being offered.

Metadata must not be manipulated to impersonate another author, mislead customers, artificially dominate search results, or place a work into knowingly irrelevant categories.

10. Editorial Quality

SayeBook may decline material that is technically unusable, materially incomplete, seriously misleading, substantially corrupted, or mass-produced without meaningful editorial value.

Editorial review does not mean SayeBook endorses the opinions or claims expressed in an accepted work.

11. Review Process

New submissions and significant edits may undergo editorial review before appearing publicly in the catalogue.

SayeBook may request corrections or additional information or decline a submission.

Depending on the issue, SayeBook may correct or restrict a listing, suspend it from sale, or remove it.

Serious or repeated violations may result in additional account restrictions under the Publishing Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.

12. Reconsideration

Authors may request reconsideration of significant editorial decisions through SayeBook's support or Contact process.

SayeBook may request supporting information before reconsidering a decision.

A request for reconsideration does not guarantee publication or restoration.
